In the 16th century, the village of Albitreccia was called Frasso and was home to the bishops of Ajaccio who also bore the title of Counts of Frasso. Within the village, you can visit the medieval church of Saint Catherine, remodeled in the 19th century, or a granite fountain, Ripa in ghjo, with a frog-shaped spout. The coastline is still wild and unspoiled, with the exception of the large Agosta beach, which receives many holidaymakers.
