Coti-Chiavari (the coast) : 20 min from Porticcio, take the D55 to Coti-Chiavari then go along the coast following the D155.
Coti-Chiavari (the village) : from the beach of Mare E Sole, go on the D155 till the village.
It was founded in 934 and was born from the seasonal migration which is a pastoral tradition very old, in autumn, the herd go to feed in the beach, that is to say the land of low altitude, near the beach with a soft weather. They go back to their mountain place : Frassetto, Zevaco, Campo during the spring. Their long picturesque cortege went long in the ways of after-war.The oldest churches have disappeared but nevertheless there are very old houses whose the famous tower which was restored.
However, you will find one of the most famous beaches in the area : Mare e Sole, also called the Plage d’Argent. In half a day, you will enjoy a beautiful walk leading to the Tower of Capo di Muro; only accessible tower, up to the top, in the region.
The commune is situated at the same time on the gulfs of Ajaccio and of Valinco, has two main villages: Coti-Chiavari situated in the coolness of 500 M of elevation and Acqua Doria, lower, with a better sunshine and a maritime atmosphere.
