55 min from the Porticcio ; follow the D55 then the T40 towards Cauro, take the D83 towards Sainte Marie Siché then take the D26 towards Azilone-Ampaza, follow it to the village.
The village of Forciolo was certainly founded around the 15th century. Indeed, if we refer to the cartridges that appear on the facades of houses near the old presbytery we find Roman inscriptions that translate into dates. We then find the oldest house in Corsica dated July 15, 1428.
These houses belong to the Bozzi families who with the Forcioli were and still are the main families of the village.
