Grosseto Prugna, located 400 meters above sea level, is the historic center of Porticcio. It is a fine example of a Corsican village made up of several hamlets organized around the Saint Césaire church in the central square.
Prugna is its historic heart, with its fortified house and its tower dating from the 16th century. The hamlet has managed to preserve all its original beauty, just like that of Vignali. The latter retains its old houses, which despite the ravages of time, are worth a detour and offer a striking testimony of village life of yesteryear.
An essential place to live, the village square is considered one of the most beautiful in Corsica! It extends at the foot of the Saint-Césair church, in the shade of the majestic lime trees planted in the mid-1920s.
