30 min from Porticcio ; take the D55 towards Cauro then follow the T40, then take the D83 and follow it to the village.
It is the birthplace of Sampiero’s wife, Vannina d’Ornano. You can still see the birthplace of this tragic character.
Sainte-Marie-Siché is a peaceful village made up of several hamlets between green hills. In the past, Easter was celebrated in an original way: the villagers gathered in the church had to make as much noise as possible with chopsticks, crucibles and everything they could find.
You can visit the village church or the beautiful chapel of St. Lucia, listed as a historic monument.
