It is not in Haut-Taravo but on the coasts of its natal Cap Corse that Maria Ghjuvanna Colombani discovered her passion for honey. After her master’s in history, she changed her place in university for an Agricultural College to dedicate to a job that always attracted her to produce honey. Once she became a beekeeper, she subscribed to get “a quality market” and produced different kinds of honey in PDO.
After her encounter with a young safranier of Taravo (Sylvain Martinez-Ciccolini), she put her hives in Cozzano. “With Sylvain, we share the same passion for our job and the interaction was naturally made between my honey and his safran” reveals Maria Ghjuvanna.
Led by her love for good cooking, she develops a range of original products: honey, vinegar, honey, marmalades, muesli, cookies. Next challenge for this couple of gourmet farmers: develop a range of honey-safran and open a restaurant in the farm to make discover their production of course but also and especially, to go on having fun !
